“May the odds be ever in your favor” with reminders!

March 28, 2012

Fans of The Hunger Games know that Seneca Crane The Gamekeeper would definitely be using the Kona reminders feature to keep on top of all his responsibilities. The Gamemakers won’t miss a thing.

We regular citizens can use this feature too so we never miss a deadline or occasion again!  You can use reminders for tasks or events, and you can even receive more than one reminder for an individual task or event.

How to set reminder defaults:

Go to your profile via the gear icon in the upper right and choose Account, or click your profile picture anywhere in Kona.  Then, in the “Default Reminder for Tasks” section, select Email, Popup, or None from the drop-down list. In “Default Reminder for Calendar Events,” choose your minutes/hours/days timeframe.

TIP:     You can edit reminders for individual events. The default settings apply to every task and/or calendar event you set up in Kona from this point forward unless you choose something different for a specific task or event.

How to set reminders for tasks:

Click New Task or open an existing task by clicking on its name. In the right-side of the screen, a details pane opens up.  Click the bell icon next to Due Date to open the Reminders Settings popup. Choose Email, Popup, or None from the first drop-down list, and then choose your minutes/hours/days timeframe from the second drop-down list.

TIP:   Want another reminder for the task, with a different timeframe or a popup and an email?  Click Add Another Reminder. To remove a reminder, just click None.

How to set reminders for calendar events:

Click New Event or open an existing event by clicking on it from the calendar. In the right-side of the screen, a details pane opens up.  Click the bell icon next to From to open the Reminders Setting popup.
